Hi there!

My name is Megumi, and I am a photographer and artist based in Los Angeles.

Growing up overseas in Turkey and Japan has shown me the beauty of diversity. Over the years I have developed a passion for hearing people’s unique stories and representing that in my photographs. Nothing can energize me more than being creative, and engaging in meaningful conversation as I produce quality work for my clients.

I would be honored to tell YOUR story through my photography. Please feel free to contact me if you are interested in using my services.

Interdisciplinary approach

Throughout my educational experience I have always strived to build bridges between different spheres of thought, study and practice. My goal is to experience a holistic education so that I can apply many different disciplinary skills to my life.

Sociological perspective

By the end of my time at university, I hope to graduate with more than just a diploma. My goal is to leave with a greater amount of empathy and understanding of the communities around me. Being a sociology student allows me to cultivate an open mind, and see the world as it truly is.

Film and media producing

Film has the power to communicate stories in a way that no other medium can. It can overcome multiple barriers and reach a wide variety of audiences through an immersive experience. Stepping into the film world has opened the door to address social issues in a unique way

Art as a lifestyle

Art opens the door for self reflection, imagination and seeing past personal bias. With the interdisciplinary tools under my belt, I am able to create art that transcends disciplinary boundaries. By studying sociology, I can tell stories of the marginalized and have an impact in the world. Overall, art becomes a lifestyle of seeing more clearly, and creating for a greater purpose.
